Meghan
Alfaro
|
Meghan
Alfaro,
soprano, clarinetist, and educator, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in Music magna cum laude from Florida State University. She has been
a cantor and soloist at the Cathedral of Saint Jude the Apostle in
Saint Petersburg, and has been a soloist with the Florida Orchestra
and Florida Pro Musica. She is a member of the Florida Elementary
Music Educator's Association and Sigma Alpha Iota International Music
Fraternity. Mrs. Alfaro teaches music at Lakewood Elementary School
in St. Petersburg, FL, and has been identified as an Emerging Leader
by the Florida Music Educator's Association. |

Emily Barnash

Emily
Barnash,
soprano, is a sophomore and honor student at St. Petersburg Catholic
High School. She studies voice with Mary K. Wilson and piano with
Michelle Rego. She is cantor and section leader of the choir at the Cathedral of St.
Jude the Apostle as well as at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Petersburg. She is the
recent winner of the National Teachers of Singing vocal competition, and performs in a
variety of venues, including musical theater. |

Jean Crossman

Crossman,
mezzo-soprano, pianist, organist and music director at Sacred Heart
Basilica in Tampa, holds degrees in voice and piano from the University
of South Florida and the Manhattan School of Music, as well as a Master's
Degree in Liturgy at the University of Notre Dame. She is a frequent
clinician in the area of music and liturgy, and is a member
of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. |

Jeffrey Fitzcharles

Jeffrey
Fitzcharles,
tenor, pianist, organist, private instructor and music director at
Espiritu Santo Church in Safety Harbor, holds degrees in music and
language arts from the University of South Florida. He is a founding
member of the St. Petersburg/Tampa chapter of the National Association
of Pastoral Musicians and the former editor of the local chapter newsletter,
"DIVERBIO". Mr. Fitzcharles is also a member of the Liturgical
and Music Commissions of the Catholic Diocese of Saint Petersburg.

Harriet Sheiner Hall

Harriet
Sheiner Hall,
alto, flutist, pianist and educator, attended the GB Martini Conservatory
of Music in Bologna, Italy and studied flute with the late Thomas
Nyfenger of Yale University. She holds a degree in Music Education
as well as a Master of Arts degree in Flute Performance from the
City University of New York. Ms. Hall is the resident flutist at
Saint Brendan's Church in Clearwater Beach and teaches music at
the Calvin Hunsinger School for severely emotionally disturbed children.
Ms. Hall is a performing member of FloriMezzo, a nonprofit organization
that strives to promote community interest in classical chamber
music.

Rimas Karnavicius

Rimas
Karnavicius,
baritone and guitarist, holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine
Arts degree in vocal performance from the University of Florida. He
performs and serves as a board member with Florida Pro Musica, and
is a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. Mr.
Karnavicius is a vocal student of Joseph and Violette Vernaud Meyers,
and recently appeared as a guest soloist at Prince of Peace Church
under the direction of John King Carter, and as Melchior
in the St. Jude Cathedral Arts production of "Amahl and the Night
Visitors" under the direction of Vernon Taranto Jr. Mr. Karnavicius
is employed at First State Bank and has served on the planning committee
of the Leadership St. Pete Program of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber
of Commerce since 1997 and as Chairperson in 2001. |

Thomas Kurt

Thomas
Kurt,
baritone, organist, pianist, and clarinetist, holds a degree in Organ
Performance from Oberlin College in Ohio, and a Master's degree in
Sacred Music and Theology from Saint Joseph's College in Renssellear,
Indiana. Mr. Kurt serves as Music Director at Saint Jerome's Church
in Indian Rocks, where he has led several choir tours to Europe. He
is a member of the American Guild of Organists and the National Association

LaDue

Tim
LaDue,
bass-baritone, is a soloist, church cantor and chorister who comes
to the Florida area via Portland, Oregon. He holds a degree from Immaculate
Heart College in Los Angeles, and has sung with many vocal ensembles
in the Los Angeles area. He has recorded music for Oregon Catholic
Press, and has served as cantor and section leader at several Catholic
cathedrals, including the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle in St.
Petersburg. |

MacMillan

Duncan
MacMillan,
tenor, pianist, composer and teacher, has held university and college
faculty positions teaching piano, music literature, music theory,
music history, chamber music, and coaching opera, and has maintained
a private piano studio for over 25 years. Dr. MacMillan holds two
BA degrees magna cum laude (psychology and music performance), a Certificate
in Piano and Pedagogy, and two Master of Music degrees (piano and
music theory) from Florida State University. A member of Phi Beta
Kappa, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Phi Mu Alpha, he received his Doctor of
Musical Arts degree in Piano and Literature from the University of
Oklahoma after studies on doctoral scholarship at Oxford University,
and has been recognized in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the
South and Southwest. |

Michelle
Rego

Michelle
Rego,
soprano, pianist, flutist, organist, is the founder of HERALD and
is the Director of Music at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle
in Saint Petersburg. She holds degrees in piano performance and Music
Education from the College Conservatory of Music at the University
of Cincinnati, as well as a Master's degree in Music and Liturgy from
the University of Notre Dame. Ms. Rego is also a member of Florida
Pro Musica, the American Guild of Organists, the National Association
of Pastoral Musicians, the Chorister's Guild, the National Association
of Teachers of Singing, and serves as a national consultant in the
area of worship and music. She is a freelance author and has recently
published her first book, entitled "The Church Musician's Soul
Survival Guide". |

Meredith Schupay

Meredith
Schupay,
mezzo-soprano, organist, pianist, has performed in the Tampa Bay area
professionally for over thirty years. She studied music education,
voice and piano at St. Petersburg College. She has been a soloist,
cantor, and section leader at Christ United Methodist, First Presbyterian,
Saint Matthew's Episcopal, Church of the Ascension, Saint Andrew's
Episcopal, and most recently, Church of the Good Shepherd in Dunedin.
She has also sung with the Pinellas Choral Society, the Florida Opera,
the Tampa Oratorio Society, the Clifton Street Singers, the Master
Chorale of Tampa Bay, and Florida Pro Musica. Meredith has performed
at the Spoleto Festival with Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra and Chorus, and in the Netherlands with the Clifton Street
Singers. |

George Western

Western,
tenor, majored in Music Education at the University of South Florida,
studying with Dr. Vance Jennings and Patricia Stenberg. He has been
a member of and soloist with the Tampa Bay Master Chorale, and has
sung with Robert Shaw and John Nelson. He has been a chorister, cantor
and soloist at St. Mark's, St. Mary’s, and currently St. Clement’s
Episcopal Churches in Tampa. He currently performs with Florida Pro
Musica and the Clearwater Choral Scholars, and can also be found in
the cast of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. He is a member of Phi
Mu Alpha International Music Fraternity. |

Karen Eisele Western

Karen
Eisele Western,
mezzo-soprano, pianist and harpsichordist, holds a degree in French
from the University of South Florida where she studied piano with
Jan Khorsandian. She taught piano privately for over 20 years and
is an accompanist for the Florida Orchestra Association's Festival
in Hillsborough County. Karen has sung in the choirs of St. Mark's,
St. Mary's and St. Clement's Episcopal Churches, as well as with the
Clearwater Choral Scholars and Florida Pro Musica. She teaches at
Caminiti Exceptional Student Center in Tampa, and spends her free
time as a cast member of both the Bay Area Renaissance Festival and
the Florida Pirate Festival. Karen is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota
Music Fraternity. |
